Who we are

Warriors on their knees

We are a church that believes prayer changes cities. Not a venue, not a brand, but a family of people learning to live surrendered to God in the middle of London.

The Sabaoth mark: a warrior kneeling with a sword
The name & the logo

YHWH Sabaoth
God of Armies

Our name comes from Yahweh Sabaoth, one of the names of God.

The logo is a warrior on his knees, holding a sword, because that is who we are: warriors who fight their battles on their knees, without ever giving up. The sword is the Word of God. The knees are the posture. Both matter.

Our values

Three things we refuse to lose

If you have never been part of a church, this is the honest version of what you would be joining. Not a programme to attend: three things we are unwilling to trade away, whatever it costs us.

Two people who read the Bible together and are honest with each other
01

Nobody grows
alone

Every person here has someone walking with them, one to one. Not a course you sign up for and finish, but somebody who knows your name, your week and what you are actually struggling with. It happens in Lifegroups around a table and in the Bible Academy, and it is the reason nobody drifts through this church unnoticed.

02

Courageous
faith

We would rather be honest than comfortable. That means following Jesus without the quiet compromises everyone expects you to make, and letting that show up at work, in your relationships, with your money and in the parts of the week nobody sees. Courage, not caution, and no small print.

A woman praying with her hand on her heart
03

We expect
miracles

We believe God still heals, still speaks and still turns lives round, because we keep watching Him do it. That is why fasting and prayer are ordinary here rather than exceptional: a supernatural lifestyle is not an event you attend, it is how the week is built. Come with something to ask Him for.

Our story

From Milan to London

Thirty-two years, three young people praying in a city that wasn't interested, and a word about boundaries that kept getting wider.

1994

Sabaoth Church is founded in Milan by Ps. Roselen B. Faccio. She had come from Brazil at nineteen, already dreaming of revival in Italy. The church started from nothing: three young people who prayed and fasted, asking God for the city of Milan. But God had much more in store, and Milan was only the beginning.

2009

God gives a word about expanding our boundaries. That year the first two churches outside Milan are started, organically. From then on church planting becomes a core part of the mission, because we believe the local church is an incredible evangelistic tool.

2025

Valerio & Fiorella Angioli move to London with their three sons to start the church. No building, no congregation. A team on the ground, and a year of meeting people, praying and building from nothing.

Our pastors

Valerio &
Fiorella Angioli

Twelve years of ministry, four churches planted across central Italy, three sons, and a call to London they could not shake off.

Valerio stepped into full-time ministry in Italy in 2014. A year later he and Fiorella married, and they have served as a couple from the first day: never one pastor with a spouse alongside, but two people carrying the same house.

Between 2016 and 2024 they planted four churches across central Italy, each begun with a handful of people in a living room and handed on to a local team once it could stand, alongside evangelistic tours, a creative team using art and theatre, and assemblies in state schools. In September 2025 the family landed in London with their three sons: no building, no congregation, no shortcuts.

Roselen Boerner Faccio is Senior Pastor of Sabaoth Church, the largest evangelical movement in Italy, one that keeps growing, with over seventy churches across Italy, Europe and South America.

After giving her life to Jesus at a young age, she founded the first church in Milan in 1994. For more than thirty years she has led a movement that trains disciples, leaders and missionaries all over the world.

She founded the Hangar28 missionary school and has attended the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington several times. Author of Bible study manuals and of the novel “Thé con Dio”, her desire is to see a living, authentic, transforming faith reach every person and every city.

Our ministries

Faith, in every
part of society

Sabaoth Italia

Across the network the church works in more than 36 areas, grouped into six. Every one of them has an evangelistic purpose, and the same aim: to be present in every part of society, and to make faith visible there. Open a group to see what is inside it.

In London we are starting with Sundays, Kids Ministry, Lifegroups, Monday prayer, the Bible Academy and free English Conversation, and building towards the rest of it.

Six bands, from nursery age to the church’s over-thirties, each with its own leaders and its own way of doing things.

  • S’Kids and Families
    age 0–10

    S’Kids and Families

The area that looks after the spiritual growth of children from 0 to 10, and that backs up the strength of their families while it does it.

  • Pre Teens
    age 11–13

    Pre Teens

The ministry for pre-adolescents: interactive Bible studies, honest conversations about right and wrong and everyday life, and a lot of group games.

  • Teens
    age 14–18

    Teens

Teenagers who decided to demolish the “rebellious” side of the word adolescent and spend that same energy reaching as many people as they can, with Jesus first.

  • YouS
    age 18–29

What we believe

The same creed as the whole Sabaoth Church family.

We believe in the whole Bible

(II Timothy 3:16 / II Peter 1:21)

We believe in God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

(Ephesians 4:6, John 1:14, Acts 5:3,4)

We believe that Jesus Christ is God and that, emptying Himself of His divinity, He became man (Revelation 22:13 / I Timothy 2:5), born of the virgin Mary (Matthew 1:23), lived without sin (Hebrews 4:15); we believe in His miracles (Matthew 11:5), in His death on the cross (I Peter 2:24), in His resurrection (I Corinthians 15:3,4), in His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Acts 1:9,11) and in His return

(Matthew 24:30,31)

We believe that all people are born in sin and separated from God (Romans 3:23), and that they must be born again (John 3:3) to receive eternal life, confessing Jesus as Lord

We believe that every believer should be baptised in water by immersion, as an outward sign of their choice to follow Jesus.

(Matthew 28:18,20)

We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit and in His gifts (I Corinthians 14:12), and we believe that the initial evidence of this baptism is speaking in other tongues

(Acts 2:1,4)

We believe in discipleship

(Matthew 28:19)

We believe in the institution of the universal Church (Matthew 16:18), which is the Body and Bride of Jesus (I Corinthians 12:12,27 / Ephesians 1:22,23 / Revelation 19:7,9) and of which all believers are part.

We believe in the Lord’s Supper as a symbol that remembers His sacrifice and His death

(I Corinthians 11:23,26)

We believe in the resurrection of believers and unbelievers, the first to eternal life

(Revelation 20:4,6 / 11:15)
